What are the conference dates and times, and when should I travel?
FreedomFest Palm Springs: “Oasis of Liberty” meets Wednesday, June 11 - Saturday, June 14 at Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.
The FreedomFest opening festivities will begin Wednesday at noon with the grand opening of Anthem Film Festival followed by a series of stimulating and intellectual sessions designed to "prime the mind” starting at 1:00 pm. These sessions will lead into the Opening Ceremonies general session at 4:00 and Welcome Reception and Grand Opening of the Exhibit Hall at 6:30.
Many attendees will arrive on Tuesday, June 10, and stay through Sunday, June 15 to attend the provocative "Super Charged Saturday" sessions, as well as our fabulous Farewell Reception & Banquet on Saturday, which features live entertainment, special guest speakers, the Anthem Film Awards, live music & dancing and a full three-course gourmet dining experience (extra ticket required).
There is also plenty to enjoy in Palm Springs, so we encourage attendees to extend their stay before and after the conference to make the most of the city’s offerings.
During the conference dates of June 11-14, there will also be multiple evening social events at the conference and plenty of Palm Springs nightlife to enjoy.
Where is the Palm Springs Convention Center?
The address is:

Where should I stay?
FreedomFest has a room block with a special rate and discounted resort fee at The Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel, Hilton Palm Springs, Hotel Zoso, and Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs. Please book your hotel on our Hotels page.
The Renaissance and Hilton are both walking distance from Palm Springs Convention Center (The Renaissance is actually attached to the convention center via indoor walkways). Most attendees staying at the Hilton will walk to the convention center as it is only two blocks away, but if you have any concerns about walking for ten minutes in the heat, you should take that into consideration if booking at the Hilton.
The Zoso and Rowan are within 1 mile of the convention center, but attendees should plan to take an Uber or drive themselves to the convention center from those two hotels. It is too far to walk in June.

What is your cancellation policy?
When you register for FreedomFest, we begin a series of actions to prepare for attendance, including those that include hard costs. As we approach the conference start, those costs and guarantees increase. Therefore, we must institute a cancellation fee to help us cover those costs in the event that you must cancel before the event. We thank you for your understanding.
Cancellation Policy Please note, once you register for FreedomFest, it activates a series of preparations and costs on our end to provide the benefits we've promised as your FreedomFest experience. At certain points in the planning process, including those dates listed below, we actually have to pay those costs to our vendors, even if you cancel. As a result, we must institute a basic cancellation fee to cover those expenses in the event you cancel your registration. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Refund Policy A 20% fee of the registration amount paid will apply to all registration cancellations through April 30. Starting May 1, the cancellation fee is 50% of the registration amount paid. Starting June 1, there is no refund.
Transfer Policy You can choose to transfer your registration, rather than cancel, for an equivalent registration at the next FreedomFest at any point before June 10, 2025. This is a registration transfer, not a monetary credit. Please email register@freedomfest.com to notify us that you are canceling this year's registration and transferring to next year. No-shows will not receive transfer credit. You MUST receive confirmation from us that you are on our transfer list in order for your credit to remain valid.
Special Events Cancellation Special event purchases are 100% refundable through April 30 and 50% refundable between May 1 and May 31. Starting June 1, there are no refunds or transfers for special events.
Hotel Cancellation Hotels can be canceled without penalty 72 hours before check-in date. A first night’s refundable deposit is taken when the reservation is made. Changes to hotel reservations must be made through the hotel directly.
Lost Badge Fee Please note that in the case of a lost or misplaced badge or other ticket, requiring reprinting, will incur a $20 replacement fee.
How can I get the most of my FreedomFest experience?
Starting mid-May, you can access the Official Agenda Guide on our website to see the full schedule of events, including all the sessions, exhibitors, receptions, lunches and films.
We encourage you to install and use the free app to highlight which sessions you’d most like to attend each day and see the latest updates. All seating is unreserved, first-come/first-served. Starting in May, download the Sched app and search for FreedomFest 2025 to install the schedule onto your phone.
All FreedomFest sessions and the Exhibit Hall will be located in the Palm Springs Convention Center. Some special events may take place off site.
We’ve also included book signings with the authors of 2025’s most important books in the exhibit hall during coffee breaks and during the Welcome Reception – come meet our authors!
Add our special event breakfasts, luncheons, and receptions, including the Farewell Banquet on Saturday night.
Where can I find a list of speakers?
We work year-round to add speakers and content to FreedomFest. As each speaker and title is confirmed, we update our Speakers page.
What are "Anthem movies?" Do I need a separate ticket to watch the movies at Anthem Film Festival?
Anthem Film Festival screenings take place adjacent to all other FreedomFest sessions. Film screenings and follow-up panels will take place in our Anthem Theater setup. Film screenings shown anywhere else are NOT part of the Anthem Film Festival.
Access to the Anthem Film Festival is included in all FreedomFest registration passes. We also have Anthem Film Festival only passes available for a lower rate.
Are snacks allowed in the film theater?
We will provide coffee inside the theater during all coffee breaks. You are welcome to bring snacks, drinks, and lunch purchased at the concession kiosk in the exhibit hall into the theater. Per convention center policy, no outside food or drinks may be brought into the conference/film festival.
What should I wear?
We suggest business or business casual attire for all conference sessions. The Farewell Banquet is business-formal or cocktail dress.
Please note that the conditions indoors may feel chilly for some, but warm for others - we always get comments that it's both, at the same time! Please dress with layers so you will be comfortable.
Temperatures outdoors will be extremely hot and dry. We recommend staying indoors during the daytime.
How do I sign up for everything?
Please sign up for your registration pass and any special events (VIP breakfasts, lunches, receptions or the banquet) through FreedomFest.
Please sign up for your accommodations through the links on our Hotels page.
New Attendees: To start your registration process with FreedomFest, click here.
Current Attendees: To access your existing registration with FreedomFest, click here, enter your email address, and follow the prompts to make any changes including adding special events or an additional guest. Please visit the FAQ questions above for more information.
Is there an age restriction?
While there is no specific age restriction, FreedomFest is geared toward older students and adults. We do not have any programming for young children. Children ages 12 and up will need a badge, but children under the age of 12 can be at FreedomFest as long as they are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times. If a child is being disruptive, we ask that you please leave the session.
What if two sessions I want to see are being held at the same time or a session is already full?
Choice reigns supreme at FreedomFest, and attendees often face the dilemma of two sessions at the same time that look appealing! If you are attending the conference with a guest, we suggest splitting up and going to the two sessions separately….it gives you great catch-up conversation when you meet back up for coffee, lunch, or dinner at the end of the day!
Also, barring any technical difficulties, we record all general sessions at FreedomFest and make those sessions available over the course of the year on the CiVL streaming platform.
Are there reserved seats for sessions?
All conference sessions are unreserved, first-come/first-served seating. Special event breakfasts, lunches, and the Farewell Banquet are restricted to ticket holders, but are still unreserved seating, except for the VIP tables at the banquet and head tables at VIP events.
Where are the nearest restaurants and eateries?
There will be a light attendee breakfast in the Exhibit Hall available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings, as well as coffee breaks throughout each conference day.
The closest restaurants to the convention center are Kaiser Grille inside the Renaissance Hotel, Koffi, Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, Sherman’s Deli & Bakery, The Tropicale, and Zadie Cafe inside the Hilton.
There are many wonderful restaurants on Palm Springs’ main drag (Palm Canyon Drive), less than a mile from the convention center. While it is close, you should definitely plan to drive there or take an Uber there, especially if going there during the daytime heat. We especially recommend:
El Patron
Las Casuelas Terraza (live music every night)
Thai Smile
Pinocchio in the Desert
What activities are available at night?
“FreedomFest After Dark” is just as much fun as FreedomFest during the day. Choose from:
FreedomFest Jam Session -- Bring your instrument and email us if you wish to participate!
Karaoke Night
Palm Springs nightlife
Anthem Movies on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evening
Sponsored and Paid Receptions (see your agenda for details)
Punching Up Comedy Festival stand-up show (extra ticket required)
Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located near the Exhibit Hall, breakout sessions, and registration desk.
How can I give feedback?
We love to hear from our attendees! Please let us know what we are doing well at FreedomFest and what we can do to make it even better. Take the survey at the end of the conference - you will receive an email at the end of the conference.
You can always email us at info@freedomfest.com anytime!
