Martha Bueno, a Miami native and bilingual advocate, was born to a family that fled communism, fueling her passion for freedom. A former entrepreneur, she ran a controversial 2022 campaign for Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 10, gaining widespread media attention. Martha contributed to freeing Ross Ulbricht and is now working with Lyn Ulbricht, Ross’s mother, to launch Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing (MACS) to free non-violent offenders from harsh sentences.
