Professor Mark McNeilly teaches marketing and organizational behavior in the full-time MBA and online MBA@UNC programs at the University of North Carolina. He also serves as a faculty advisor for the STAR program and an executive coach in the Leadership program. With years of experience as a global marketing executive at IBM and Lenovo, McNeilly brings expertise in branding, strategy, market intelligence, and organizational management.
He is the author of Sun Tzu and the Art of Business: Six Strategic Principles for Managers and George Washington and the Art of Business: Leadership Principles of America’s First Commander-in-Chief, both published by Oxford University Press. McNeilly has presented on strategy and marketing across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and his insights have been shared on prominent platforms such as the BBC, CNBC, and C-SPAN. He holds an MBA with honors from the University of Minnesota and a BS in finance from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
