Lawson R. Bader has served as President and CEO of DonorsTrust and Donors Capital Fund since 2015, overseeing the management of donor-advised funds that safeguard the intent of conservative and libertarian philanthropists. With over 20 years of experience in free-market research and advocacy, he has held leadership roles at the Competitive Enterprise Institute and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Bader began his career in Washington, D.C., as a special assistant at the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, later working as a legislative analyst at Pierson, Semmes & Finley and managing government relations at SRI International. He is a former weekly columnist for Human Events and contributes to Kiplinger. Bader serves on the governing boards of Atlas Network, State Policy Network, and Oakseed Ministries International. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College (IL) and an M.A. in Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
