Kat Murti is a passionate libertarian, feminist, and activist dedicated to promoting individual freedom and social progress. As the Executive Director of Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), Kat has been a driving force in the drug policy reform movement since 2009. She co-founded and leads Feminists for Liberty, an organization that uplifts libertarian feminist voices, advocating for gender equality while maintaining classically liberal principles. Kat has played key roles in SSDP's leadership, including coordinating the AMPLIFY Project and championing diversity initiatives.
With a background in political science from UC Berkeley and experience working with institutions like the Cato Institute and the Mercatus Center, Kat has also worked on high-profile cannabis legalization campaigns and served as a board member for PublicSquare.net. Recognized as a leading voice in the fight for freedom and equality, Kat’s work spans advocacy, policy reform, and advancing the intersection of liberty and feminism. She currently resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband and two children.
