About me
Connor Murnane serves as the Campus Advocacy Chief of Staff at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), where he oversees the strategic execution of FIRE’s higher education initiatives. Previously, he led FIRE’s engagement and alumni outreach efforts. Before joining FIRE, Connor was the director of communications for the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, advocating for academic freedom and institutional governance. A frequent speaker and educator on topics such as free expression and philosophy, Connor holds a master’s degree in political communications from American University and a bachelor’s in history from Ashland University. Originally from New Jersey, he now resides in Washington, D.C.
