Allison Wu is the CEO and co-founder of the 1636 Forum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing Harvard alumni in support of the university's core mission of academic excellence, open inquiry, and principled governance. Under her leadership, the 1636 Forum has grown to include over 20,000 alumni, faculty, and staff, providing a platform for clear and actionable analysis of campus issues and fostering meaningful reforms.
Prior to her role at the 1636 Forum, Allison was a principal at Slow Ventures and a product manager at Apple, where she led the development and launch of products such as AirPods Pro, Spatial Audio, and Apple Watch. She also worked at Fitbit, contributing to both hardware and software innovations, and holds a patent in women's health technology. Allison earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from Williams College.
Through her work, Allison advocates for a return to universities' foundational principles, emphasizing the importance of free expression and academic rigor in shaping the future of higher education.
