Can the Government Make More Babies?
Wednesday June 11, 2025 1:00pm - 1:45pm PDT
Fertility rates in the U.S. and around the world are plummeting. Trump says he wants a “baby boom” and to be “the fertilization president.” But can the government really boost birth rates? And should it? On this panel, we’ll look at how pronatalist policies in other countries have fared (not well!), what the Trump administration is considering, and whether the push to increase fertility rates will be good or bad for women. We’ll also discuss libertarian policy tweaks that could be good for families.
